Betsy’s love of sewing began at age 10, learning to sew doll clothes on an old treadle machine that was a family heirloom.  Sewing has always been a challenge and rewarding hobby, and she soon advanced to making garments for herself and for friends.  In high school and college, she created and altered many formal dresses and costumes, gaining skills for future work on bridal attire.  In recent years, Betsy included home decor sewing for her clients, creating everything from custom pillows and coverings to drapery alterations and accessories for interior design accounts.

As a long- time member of the American Sewing Guild, she regularly attends classes to learn more advanced sewing techniques to meet the needs of her clients.  Betsy also holds TSE credential (Trained Sewing Educator) and occasionally offers individual sewing instruction to young adults who want to experience the fun of sewing and learn how this skill can become a wonderful life-long hobby.
